More to love…

at my scale! No…it doesn’t say i weigh too much…it says I don’t weigh anything! The dang thing won’t even turn on. I realize the battery is probably dead….but I’m not impressed with the fact that the battery only lasted 8 weeks. Hrmph.

My weigh in day is Thursday, which also happens to be payday. How bittersweet. I’ll check out batteries to see if I want to afford one before pay day…if not…i’ll have to wait till Friday!

Well, I lost another pound this week! That makes for 24 pounds total….only 2 more pounds till I’ll have reduced my weight by 10%! Fun with figures!

Do you all set an “inches lost” goal?  I did my measurements yesterday..and to date i’ve lost 19.8 inches (so close to 20!). 19.8 inches and 23 pounds. I would love to know what I’ve lowered my body fat % down too. Too bad all those calculators on the internet aren’t even close at estimating!

Anyway,  I’ve been thinking I’d like to set an “inches lost’ goal, but I don’t know where ot put it. I feel like inches and pounds are so different. Maybe I just want to set that because I would like it to be a nice round number like…25!~

I love my buddyslim blog, and the support i get from you all, but I’m trying something new for my food journal.

I started a different blog http://path-to-health.blogspot.com and it  is a little bit more personal weight loss/ healthy eating and living journal. I’m going to be taking pictures (with my new camera that I am SUPER Excited about having–just got it yesterday) of everything I eat, and posting it. This is a pretty common trend around the “blogosphere” and if any of you are interested in checking it you..please feel free!

 Buddies! I met my second mini goal this week.

3 pound loss….for 239!!! Hooray. After five straight weeks at 242….I was so happy when the scale popped up 239.6. I’ve made lots of little changes over the past two weeks, went to the gym consistently, stopped counting calories and started counting food groups, gave up High Fructose Corn Syrup, and really tried to stay away from processed foods, and I mixed up my workout routine. Hopefully…this trend will continue…slowly but surely!

Well, I cheated again and got on the scale again this morning (official weigh in day is tomorrow) and it still said I had lost 2 pounds. So I’m thinking it’s for real. but for true accountability,I will post whatever the scale says tomorrow morning.

I now weigh less then when I got married over a year ago, only by a few pounds. Man, hitting 240..from my highest at 262..makes me feel like this is doable…that losing another 20 pounds in the next 6 months, is not impossible, and then I’ll be in the same place that I was when I graduated from college!

Man, i’m just so excited again, I’m so excited about getting healthy!

Well, Last night my husband and I went to see Riverdance downtown. (don’t tell anyone..he LOVED it!) and we didnt’ get home till 10:30 (usually in bed by 10) and didn’t get to sleep until about 11. When my alarm went off this morning, I truly was going to stay in bed…. thought ‘ I need my sleep.” but I got up, and I went into the bathroom to change (try not to wake up my husband with my bumping around in the dark).

Tuesday used to be my weigh-in day, and after  I got my new digital scale, I changed it to Thursdays. I still weigh in tuesdays though….to give my self an Idea of what is coming (slightly disordered I know). And this morning I was down two pounds! This could be due to several “environmental conditions.” but it was what got me to the gym this morning. If I did lose those two pounds…I didn’t lose them by sleeping in, I lost them by kicking it up a notch last week…so I just got to keep on kicking!

I am trying VEEERY  Very hard not to eat my arm before lunch starts (and by arm I mean all the junk in the office).

Well, I made it. I went to the gym all FIVE days of this work week. Woo hoo!

It is so much easier to get to work in the morning, when I work out.  Being back in a routine feels soooo good.

I’m kicking around the idea of going to pilates/yoga tomorrow morning. It all depends on how early I want to get up, and what we end up doing tonight.

Also, I used a heart rate monitor for the first time this morning, it was nice to get an accurate look at what my heart rate is doing.

Ok, I weighed in this morning, and on my digital scale I weight 242.2….last week I weighed 242.6..which on buddyslim is not a change, and really, that could just be water.

So, it’s time to shake things up apparently. I’ve really been working on cleaning up my diet.  I’m really trying to focus on eating healthy whole foods, and not junk.

Maybe it’s time to re-examine how many calories I am eating..although I really didn’t want to count calories anymore!
